Who can take part

  • You are 21 or older and in the hospital for worsening heart failure with fluid buildup.
  • You still need IV diuretics (water pills) for more than 48 hours to remove at least 1 liter of fluid per day.
  • Your body is not responding well to diuretics, shown by low urine output or poor fluid removal.
  • You do not have severe heart or kidney disease, recent major procedures, or bleeding risks.
  • You are willing to undergo device placement and follow-up for 30 days.
