Who can take part

  • You are between 6 and 65 years old.
  • You have had type 1 diabetes for at least one year and still have trouble controlling your blood sugar with insulin (A1C 7.5% or higher, or time in range less than 70%).
  • You have had two or more severe low blood sugar episodes in the past year, with at least one in the last three months.
  • Your body makes diabetes-related antibodies (like GAD or insulin autoantibodies) that show it's type 1 diabetes.
  • You are willing to use study-provided blood sugar monitoring tools, keep a log, and use reliable birth control (if able to become pregnant or father a child).
  • You do not have active infections, untreated cancer, severe organ problems, or other conditions that would prevent you from safely taking the trial medication or immunosuppressants.
