Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and have had diabetes for less than 5 years.
  • Your diabetes is stable (HbA1c under 9% for the last 3 months).
  • You have nerve damage (neuropathy) from diabetes, confirmed by a nerve test.
  • You do not have a very slow heart rate, heart block, severe asthma, or COPD.
  • You are not currently taking a beta-blocker or a specific type of calcium channel blocker.
