Who can take part

  • You are between 20 and 79 years old for stroke, or 20 to 65 for spinal cord injury.
  • You have had a stroke (bleeding or clot) or an incomplete spinal cord injury at a specific neck level (C5 or C6).
  • Your arm or hand movement is limited due to your condition.
  • You have not had surgery on your shoulder, elbow, or wrist.
  • You do not have another muscle or nerve disease that affects movement.
  • You can complete a thinking and memory test with a good score (MoCA 26+ for stroke, MMSE 25+ for spinal cord injury).
