Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older
  • You have brain damage from a traumatic brain injury (such as from a fall or accident)
  • You have been diagnosed with unresponsive wakefulness syndrome or minimally conscious state (confirmed by two checklists)
  • It has been between 4 and 16 weeks since your brain injury
  • You (or your legal representative) have signed a consent form to join the trial
