Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older
  • You must be able to have the clot removal procedure started within 2 hours of your last brain scan
  • You must have a blockage in a large or medium brain blood vessel (confirmed by imaging)
  • Your stroke symptoms must score between 0-5 (mild) OR 8 or higher on the NIHSS stroke scale
  • You must not have certain conditions like active infection in the blood, severe bleeding risk, or terminal illness
  • You must not have a known pregnancy or severe brain swelling or hemorrhage
