Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have end-stage heart failure with symptoms even when resting or with light activity (NYHA class 3 or 4)
  • Your heart's pumping strength is very low (LVEF of 30% or less)
  • A blood test shows a high level of NT-Pro-BNP (1500 pg/mL or more)
  • You are already on the best available heart failure medications but still getting worse
  • You are not eligible for a left ventricular assist device or heart transplant
