Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You have heart failure (with reduced pumping function) that is caused by either blocked arteries or other reasons.
- You are already taking the best available heart failure medications.
- Your heart's pumping ability (ejection fraction) is 40% or less.
- You have symptoms like shortness of breath or fatigue with mild activity (NYHA class II or III).
- You have been hospitalized for heart failure in the last 6 months or have a high level of a heart stress marker (NT-proBNP) in your blood.
- You are not eligible for a heart transplant or a mechanical heart pump (LVAD).
