Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have advanced heart failure (NYHA class II, III, or IV)
- Your heart condition has been stable for at least 6 months on the best medical therapy
- Your heart failure is caused by blocked arteries or an enlarged heart (ischemic or dilated cardiomyopathy)
- Your left ventricle's pumping strength is 35% or less
- You are not currently eligible for or considering a heart transplant
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have not had radiation therapy to the chest area before
