Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You have a severe type of leg pain or tissue loss (Rutherford 5 or 6) and very poor blood flow in your leg.
  • Doctors have determined that usual treatments (like bypass surgery or stents) cannot save your leg.
  • You have a good vein in your leg that can be used for the procedure.
  • You are not on dialysis and have reasonable kidney function.
  • You are expected to live at least 12 more months.
