Who can take part

  • You had ulcerative colitis and have had pouch surgery (IPAA) with the ileostomy closed.
  • Your first pouchitis episode happened within 12 months after that surgery.
  • You do not have Crohn's disease or a current C. diff infection.
  • You are not on long-term antibiotics (like for acne) and have not had a fecal transplant recently.
  • You do not have severe liver or kidney disease, and you're not pregnant or breastfeeding.
