  • You are age 65 or older
  • You are waiting or scheduled for hip surgery, or you were part of a past study of healthy older adults who were overweight or obese
  • You can understand and sign a consent form agreeing to join the study
  • You do not have a muscle disease caused by inflammation or nerve problems
  • You do not have severe heart failure or active cancer
