Who can take part
- You have a newly diagnosed type of nasopharyngeal cancer (not type I) that hasn't spread outside the head and neck.
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You are in good enough health to manage daily activities (ECOG score 0–1).
- Your blood counts, liver, and kidney function are within normal range.
- You agree to use reliable birth control if you can become pregnant.
- You and your doctor have planned curative treatment: radiation therapy, possibly with 3 cycles of chemotherapy before it.
