Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer that is linked to the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV).
- Your cancer is stage III or IVA and has not spread to other parts of the body.
- You are about to start or have started platinum-based chemotherapy as your first treatment.
- You plan to receive intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) along with platinum-based chemotherapy.
- You are 18 years or older and in generally good health (able to care for yourself).
- If you are of reproductive potential, you agree to use effective birth control during and for 60 days after radiation.
