Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with MASLD (fatty liver disease not caused by alcohol) and have metabolic syndrome symptoms.
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You are willing to have a blood test to check for a gene related to fatty liver.
  • You do NOT already exercise 20 minutes a day, 3 days a week, or walk more than 3,000 steps daily.
  • You do NOT have other serious liver diseases, certain other illnesses, or take specific medications that affect fatty liver.
  • You are not pregnant and do not have any reason you cannot have an MRI scan.
