This trial tests whether giving you a special kind of immune cell, called a CAR T cell, can help fight your B-cell leukemia or lymphoma that has come back or not gone away with standard treatments. The cells are made from your own blood and designed to attack the cancer cells that carry a marker called CD19.

Who can take part

  • You are between 3 and 18 years old.
  • You have B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia or lymphoblastic lymphoma that has come back or hasn't improved after standard treatments.
  • Your cancer cells have a marker called CD19, which the special immune cells (CAR T cells) will target.
  • You are generally well enough to be up and about (Lansky score of 60 or higher).
  • Your liver, kidneys, heart, and lungs are working well enough (based on blood tests and heart ultrasound).
  • You do not have a serious, uncontrolled infection, HIV/AIDS, active hepatitis, severe lung or heart disease, or other major health problems that would make the trial unsafe.
