Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 90 years old.
  • You have had symptoms of a pulmonary embolism (like sudden shortness of breath or chest pain) for 14 days or less.
  • A CT scan shows a clot in a main artery of your lung and that the right side of your heart is enlarged or strained.
  • Your blood pressure is stable (top number at least 90 mmHg), and your heart rate is under 130 beats per minute.
  • You are healthy enough for a procedure and have no major bleeding risks, severe kidney disease, or other serious conditions listed in the trial's exclusion criteria.
