Who can take part

  • You have symptoms of a pulmonary embolism that started within the last 14 days and it was confirmed by a CT scan.
  • Your blood pressure is 90 mmHg or higher and your heart rate is 130 beats per minute or less before the procedure.
  • You have a right-to-left heart ratio of 0.9 or higher on imaging.
  • You are at least 18 years old and can give consent.
  • You are not pregnant, not on certain blood thinners that can't be stopped, and have no recent major surgery or trauma.
