Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older
  • You have chest pain or test results showing reduced blood flow to your heart, even with medication
  • An angiogram shows a new blockage in a heart artery that is 2.5 to 4 mm wide
  • The blockage has severe calcium buildup (grade 3 on a special x-ray score)
  • You have not had a heart attack in the last week
  • You do not have another serious illness that limits your life to less than a year
