Who can take part
- You are 18 or older and have coronary artery disease (heart disease).
- Your heart's pumping ability (ejection fraction) is 30% or higher.
- You have a new, hard calcium blockage in a heart artery that hasn't been treated before.
- The blockage is either very tight (≥90% narrowed) or completely blocked and calcified.
- You are not on dialysis and have no severe kidney problems (creatinine level ≤2.5 mg/dL).
