Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with either PTSD or alcohol use disorder (or you are a healthy volunteer who does not have these conditions)
  • If you have alcohol use disorder, you must drink more than 14 drinks per week (men) or 7 drinks per week (women)
  • You are not currently taking psychiatric medications (like antidepressants or anxiety meds)
  • You have no metal in your body that would prevent an MRI scan
