Who can take part

  • You have a spontaneous brain bleed (not from an injury or tumor) in the upper part of the brain.
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • The bleed happened within the last 72 hours.
  • The size of the blood clot is between 5 and 40 mL.
  • You are conscious enough to score above 8 on the eye-opening and movement test (GCS).
  • You do not have certain heart, lung, kidney, or nerve conditions that could interfere.
