Who can take part
- You are between 50 and 85 years old.
- You have diabetes and a foot ulcer that is at least 4 weeks old but less than 1 year old.
- Your foot ulcer is not on the heel or ankle (it's on the foot below the ankle bone).
- Your ulcer has not shrunk by 20% or more in the past 4 weeks of standard care.
- You have good blood flow to your foot (tested by a simple exam).
- You are not currently using certain medications like steroids, chemotherapy, or other wound treatments.
