Who can take part
- You are 19 or older.
- You had a stroke (ischemic) between 1 week and 6 months ago, and are now stable.
- You have leg pain or cramping when walking that goes away with rest (intermittent claudication).
- Your ankle-brachial index (ABI) is less than 0.9, meaning blood flow to your legs is reduced.
- You are willing to take one of two study medications and attend follow-up visits.
