Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • Your thyroid nodule is at least 2 cm wide but smaller than 20 ml (about the size of a small egg)
  • The nodule is mostly solid (at least 80% solid)
  • The nodule has been confirmed as non-cancerous by a biopsy or ultrasound within the past year
  • You are not pregnant, do not have a pacemaker or heart rhythm problems, and are otherwise healthy enough for a heat-based procedure
