Who can take part
- You are 65 years or older
- You have had diabetes for at least 2 years with an HbA1c of 6.5% or higher, or you do not have diabetes and have normal blood sugar
- Your overall health before surgery (ASA rating) is Class I, II, or III
- You are having a limited surgery on your chest or abdomen for a tumor
