Dendritic cell vaccine for multiple myeloma in remission

Who can take part

  • You have multiple myeloma or plasmacytoma (a related tumor of the plasma cells).
  • Your cancer has responded very well to previous treatments—meaning it's either in very good partial remission or complete remission (almost gone or not detectable).
  • You are expected to live at least 12 more weeks.
  • You have veins that can be used for blood draws or apheresis (a procedure to collect cells).
  • You are not pregnant, not breastfeeding, and do not have an active uncontrolled infection, HIV, or active hepatitis B or C.
  • You are not taking steroids by mouth or IV (except inhaled steroids for breathing problems).
