Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You need to be on a strong medication to raise your blood pressure (norepinephrine or similar) at a specific dose.
  • You must have blood pressure monitors placed in both your wrist artery and your groin artery.
  • Your shock (very low blood pressure) must have started less than 48 hours ago.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding, and you cannot be in the hospital for heart surgery or its recovery.
