Who can take part

  • You are taking a direct oral anticoagulant (blood thinner like apixaban, rivaroxaban, edoxaban, or dabigatran)
  • You are scheduled for a routine colonoscopy and may have polyps removed
  • You have not had any part of your colon removed before
  • You do not have inflammatory bowel disease (like Crohn's or ulcerative colitis) or a polyposis syndrome
  • Your polyps can be removed without a complex procedure like endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD)
  • You do not have bleeding during the colonoscopy that requires immediate treatment
