Who can take part
- Your mean pulmonary artery pressure (mPAP) must be greater than 20 mmHg at rest (a measure taken during a heart catheterization).
- You need a pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) of 3 WU or higher at rest (another measure from a heart catheterization).
- Your pulmonary capillary wedge pressure must be above 15 mmHg at rest or above 18 when your legs are lifted (a sign of high pressure in your heart).
- Your heart failure symptoms should be in NYHA Class II or III (you get short of breath with moderate activity, but can still do daily tasks).
- Your kidney function must be good enough (eGFR 20 or higher) for safe participation.
