Lifestyle program to prevent muscle loss in older adults with diabetes on semaglutide

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in Obese

Diet trial for people with obesity using semaglutide

This study compares different diets to see how they affect “arterial stiffness” (how hard the blood vessels are) in people with obesity who are starting semaglutide for weight management. It may help find a diet approach that improves heart and blood-vessel health while you use semaglutide.

NCT07065383Recruiting
Testing a drug and exercise for heart and muscle fat in diabetes

This study tests if a weekly injection (semaglutide) combined with an exercise program can help reduce fat stored in the heart and muscles in people with type 2 diabetes. It may improve how well your body handles sugar and lowers your risk for heart problems.

Supplements to protect muscle while taking semaglutide

This study tests whether taking HMB and vitamin D can help older adults with type 2 diabetes keep their muscle mass while they start taking semaglutide for weight loss. It may help prevent muscle loss during weight management.

NCT07554417Not yet recruiting· Phase 4
Exercise and nutrition program for muscle preservation during GLP-1 treatment

This study tests whether a 12-week program of exercise and personalized nutrition counseling can help obese adults maintain muscle and bone while taking GLP-1 medications (drugs that help with weight loss). GLP-1 drugs can sometimes cause muscle loss, so this trial explores whether targeted exercise and nutrition can prevent that.

Comparing semaglutide injection to Wegovy® for weight loss

This study tests a new injectable medication (semaglutide) compared to the approved drug Wegovy® for weight loss in people with obesity. It may help you lose weight if you have struggled to keep weight off with diet alone.

Testing a natural compound for weight loss with semaglutide
