Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with a type of cancer that started in the lung, breast, skin, kidney, or digestive system, and the diagnosis was made within the last 5 years.
- You have between 1 and 8 untreated brain tumors (metastases) that are between 1 cm and 3 cm in size, and none are in the brainstem or too close to the optic nerves.
- You have not had any radiation therapy to the brain before.
- You are able to care for yourself and perform most daily activities (Karnofsky score of 60 or higher).
- You are at least 18 years old and, if female and able to have children, have a negative pregnancy test.
- You do not have active infections, severe heart or lung problems, or signs of liver failure.
