Who can take part
- You had bleeding in the brain that spread into the fluid chambers (ventricles), especially the 3rd and/or 4th
- You need a temporary drain in your head (EVD) because of fluid buildup (hydrocephalus)
- You are 18 years or older
- The spinal drain must be placed within 72 hours of your symptoms starting or since you were last seen well
- Your prior disability level (modified Rankin scale) must be 2 or less (meaning you could still take care of yourself before this event)
