Who can take part

  • You have been paralyzed in all four limbs (tetraplegia) due to a spinal cord injury, brainstem stroke, muscular dystrophy, or ALS.
  • You have already taken part in the BrainGate2 clinical trial (NCT00912041).
  • You live within a 3-hour drive of the study location.
  • Your vision is good enough to look at a computer screen, with glasses if needed.
  • You are not currently taking steroids or drugs that suppress your immune system.
  • You do not have another serious medical condition that could make it hard to participate.
