Emotions and Memory in Chronic Facial Nerve Pain

Who can take part

  • You are between 35 and 60 years old.
  • You have trigeminal neuralgia (facial nerve pain) that has lasted at least 6 months and was diagnosed by standard criteria.
  • You are on stable medications (no recent changes).
  • You do not have other chronic pain, untreated high blood pressure or diabetes, or a history of substance use, head injury, or active psychiatric illness.
  • You are able to have an MRI scan and complete simple thinking and memory tasks.
