Who can take part
- Be at least 18 years old
- You must be scheduled for a percutaneous rhizotomy for facial pain (if you’re joining the trigeminal neuralgia group)
- Your facial pain must be clearly trigeminal neuralgia (not an unclear cause)
- The rhizotomy must not be canceled
- For healthy control participation: you must not have any history of facial pain, migraine, or long-term pain conditions
- You must be willing to spend about 2 hours in a lab and not have new/ongoing acute pain
