Who can take part

  • You must have had a brain injury (like from a stroke or accident) that happened between 28 days and 1 year ago.
  • You need a diagnosis of a disorder of consciousness (such as coma or minimally conscious state).
  • You cannot have a history of mental health or nerve conditions (like severe depression or epilepsy).
  • You must be able to have an MRI scan, and you cannot have a pacemaker, metal in your skull, or a brain implant.
  • You cannot be taking sedatives or certain seizure medicines that affect brain stimulation.
