Who can take part

  • You had a stroke (ischemic type) that started getting worse in the last 7 days.
  • Your systolic blood pressure is below 160 and has been stable for over 10 minutes.
  • A brain scan shows no large or medium-sized artery blockage.
  • You have not had any brain bleeding from this stroke.
  • You are not on blood thinners (like warfarin or heparin) for conditions like atrial fibrillation.
  • You do not have serious health issues like advanced cancer, kidney failure, or liver disease.
