Who can take part

  • You have had at least one bad ankle sprain that caused swelling, pain, and kept you from activities for at least a day
  • In the past 6 months your ankle has given way, felt unstable, or you had repeat sprains
  • You have not had a leg injury (like a sprain or fracture) in the last 3 months
  • You have not done formal physical therapy for your ankle in the last 3 months
  • You have never had surgery or a fracture that needed realignment in your bad ankle
  • You do not have a brain or nerve condition like multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, or a head injury
