Who can take part

  • You had stroke symptoms (like face drooping or arm weakness) that started within the last 24 hours.
  • A CT scan confirmed you had a stroke (not a different problem).
  • You are older than 40 years.
  • You do not have conditions like diabetic ketoacidosis, bleeding in the brain, or a recent mini-stroke.
  • You were not already bedridden before the stroke, and you don't need help with daily activities.
