Who can take part

  • You must be between 20 and 80 years old.
  • You have a connective tissue disease like dermatomyositis, scleroderma, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, or Sjogren's syndrome.
  • Your lung scarring has gotten worse even after at least 24 months of steroids and strong immune-suppressing drugs.
  • You have a family member or friend who can help support you during the trial.
  • Women who can become pregnant must have a negative pregnancy test and use birth control during the trial.
  • You do not have severe liver or kidney problems, HIV/AIDS, or other active serious infections.
