Who can take part

  • You have all of your natural teeth up to your second molars.
  • You have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea by a sleep study.
  • You are being treated with a mandibular advancement device at the dental clinic of Toulouse University Hospital.
  • You have had recent panoramic and lateral head X-rays taken around the time you started your mouthpiece therapy.
  • You are covered by a social security scheme.
  • You are able to give written consent to participate.

Willingness to use a sleep apnea mouthpiece

This trial tests how well people accept a mouthpiece (mandibular advancement device) to treat obstructive sleep apnea (a condition where your breathing stops and starts during sleep). If you have sleep apnea and can wear a device that moves your lower jaw forward while you sleep, you may be able to join.
