Family study to prevent ALS and FTD

This study is for adults who have a strong family history of ALS or FTD (like a parent or sibling with the disease) to help researchers understand how to prevent these conditions. It involves following you for about a year to track your health.

Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have a parent, sibling, or child who carries an ALS gene OR has ALS/FTD with a strong family history (at least two close relatives).
  • You are willing to follow the study procedures.
  • You have access to a smartphone, computer, or tablet with internet (public library is fine).
  • You do not currently have any signs or symptoms of ALS or FTD.
