How pressure garments affect arm function after stroke

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • You had your first stroke (either from a clot or bleeding) 1 to 12 months ago, and it caused weakness on one side of your body
  • Your arm weakness is at a moderate level (Burnnstrom stage 3, 4, or 5) and your arm muscles are not too tight
  • You do not have serious heart, lung, blood circulation, or skin problems
  • You are able to understand and follow instructions
