Who can take part

  • You must have a body mass index (BMI) between 18-25 or 30-45.
  • You must be able to understand English or Spanish.
  • Your fasting insulin level must be in a specific range (4-10 or 13 or higher) based on your weight group.
  • You must not have diabetes or prediabetes (like high blood sugar or A1c).
  • You must not be taking most diabetes medicines (except metformin) or certain heart medicines.
