Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 85 years old.
  • You have a blockage in a heart artery that involves a side branch, and the side branch is at least 70% blocked.
  • Your doctor plans to place a stent in the main artery and use a special balloon (without a stent) in the side branch.
  • Your side branch artery is between 2.0 and 4.0 mm wide and the blockage is 40 mm or shorter.
  • You do not have active bleeding, recent stroke, severe kidney disease, or other serious health issues that would make the procedure unsafe.
  • You are willing to attend multiple follow-up visits and have an angiogram (X-ray of the arteries) at 9 months after the procedure.
