It is for people with advanced or recurrent esophagogastric cancer (cancer of the esophagus or stomach) or malignant peritoneal mesothelioma (a rare cancer of the lining of the abdomen). The treatment involves collecting your T cells, modifying them in a lab, and then giving them back to you after a short course of chemotherapy to help them work.

Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have been diagnosed with esophagogastric adenocarcinoma or malignant peritoneal mesothelioma that has spread or come back.
- You have at least 25% of your tumor cells showing the mesothelin protein (a test will check this).
- You have tried at least one previous treatment for metastatic disease, or your cancer came back within 6 months of completing curative therapy.
- You are generally well enough to carry out daily activities (ECOG performance status 0 or 1).
- Your organs (kidney, liver, bone marrow) are functioning adequately, and you have no active infections or major heart or lung problems.
