Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You are having your first ablation procedure for persistent atrial fibrillation.
  • Your atrial fibrillation episodes last between 7 days and 3 years (and symptoms bother you).
  • You have tried at least one heart rhythm medication that didn't help enough or caused side effects.
  • You do not have long-standing persistent AF (more than 3 years) or certain other heart conditions.
