  • You had a brain injury from trauma, lack of oxygen, infection, or a stroke.
  • You are between 2 months and 25 years old.
  • Your injury left you in a coma, with a low score on a consciousness test.
  • You are currently in a vegetative or minimally conscious state.
  • Your injury happened at least a few weeks ago (subacute or chronic phase).
