Who can take part

  • You are between 14 and 60 years old
  • You have a disorder of consciousness (like coma, unresponsive wakefulness, or minimally conscious state) from brain injury, stroke, or lack of oxygen
  • You are right-handed
  • You do not have metal implants like a pacemaker or aneurysm clips in your head
  • You are not taking sedatives or other drugs that affect brain activity during the test
